The ITC is the solution for food producers who want simple, streamlined, and easy to operate packaging systems that don’t occupy a lot of floor space.

The new Kliklok ITC (Integrated Topload Cartoner) is a revolutionary concept in cartoning machinery for the midrange market. “Monoblock machinery” is common in Europe and other places where space is a premium. The ITC was unveiled to the Americas at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2017, and is now available to the North American market.

The incredibly compact Kliklok ITC combines three packaging processes – carton forming, product loading, and carton closing – into one machine with a minimal footprint. It is a perfect fit for the bakery and confectionery industries, or anyone packaging multiple flow-wrapped products.

The Kliklok ITC is designed to package:

  • flow-wrapped products, such as snack cakes, cereal bars, candy bars, and snack crackers
  • roll-wrapped products, such as cookies and crackers
  • die-end-wrapped products, such as premium chocolate bars

The ITC’s small footprint (3m x 2m / 12 ft x 6.5 ft) is enhanced by its ergonomic design. The low-level carton hopper, swingarm-mounted HMI 4.0, glue tank, and product infeed are all on one side of the machine. The forming and closing sections can also be accessed without crossing the production line. Toolless jigs and a change part numbering system allow for changeovers in less than 15 minutes. One person can efficiently manage the entire operation!

The Kliklok ITC can form, load, and close up to 80 cartons/minute – very fast for a compact system. Cartons can be formed with locks or glue, allowing a wide variety of carton styles on a single machine. Cartons are formed with a single servo-controlled plunger – proven technology from the Kliklok TransFormer – and are placed directly onto independently-controlled carton shuttles riding on a linear servo racetrack.

The ITC can accept up to 550 products per minute in its adjustable collator chain, which moves the products into position for loading. The Bosch Delta pick-and-place robotic loader tracks the carton shuttles and can load products ‘on the move’ for a speed advantage over two-axis loaders. The loaded cartons race around the track into the closing section, and exit the ITC in the same direction as incoming products.

The small footprint saves you space. The ergonomics save you labor costs. The fast, toolless changeovers save you time. The three-in-one design saves your budget.
